Couples & Relationships

Relationships change shape over time — through new partnership, marriage, parenthood, career shifts, infidelity, blended families, or the quiet drift that can happen after years together. Wherever you and your partner are, the work is the same: understanding the pattern you're both caught in, and finding a way back to real connection.

How I work with couples

My doctoral training and ten years teaching graduate-level family systems theory shape how I see every couple who comes into my office: not as two individuals with separate problems, but as a system with its own patterns, history, and logic. From there, I draw on the Gottman Method and Emotion-Focused Therapy — two well-researched, complementary approaches to rebuilding trust, communication, and connection — tailored to the couple actually in front of me.

Who I work with

Couples at every stage — newly together, newly married, navigating a new baby, rebuilding after a rupture, renegotiating a long marriage, or considering whether to stay. I also work with couples who are unsure therapy will even help; you don't need to already believe in the process to start.
